a newsletter and media company founded with the goal of community-building and supporting local businesses.

LAFS is dedicated to supporting small businesses, connecting locals, and providing exclusive deals and events that are aimed at growing the local community. With to-do recs, interviews with locals, and events, we will keep everyone connected!

We have spoken to the local business owners who are searching for ways to connect to the residents of Malibu and the nearby areas. We have spoken to the residents who are seemingly unaware of the local businesses. Our goal is to connect Malibu’s community.

In a city that has an epidemic of loneliness, we need to make an effort to meet new, like-minded people. That’s why we organize events that inspire connection and community. Each event supports a local business with proceeds and brings in customers to the physical location whether it is a wellness activation, creative workshop, or social gathering, there is an event for every subscriber’s interests.

We connect Communities

Our mission is to bring locals together and create a community that creates new friendships and bonds over the love of our neighborhood! By connecting neighbors with local businesses, we build supportive networks that strengths our community.

Keeping it local means keeping it us. The heart of our neighborhoods lies in the local businesses. It’s the barista who knows your coffee order by heart or the only hairdresser you’d trust with your hair. We’re the only newsletter dedicated to uplifting our community by supporting small businesses and sharing the unique stories of our local business owners.
