Topanga Farmers Market Kimchi: In A PickleThis kimchi is addicting. I first found In A Pickle at the Malibu Farmers Market, but now they’re at the Topanga Farmers Market. The Topanga market speaks to me more. It’s tucked away, feels more local, and the views? Unreal. I finished the entire kimchi jar all before getting back home. Also worth mentioning: their pickled veggies are bought by other farmers at the market (always a good sign). Also if you haven’t yet seen our Topanga Farmers Market video, here you go!

The Way We Live – Natural Dye: We’ve all heard about how toxic the chemicals in our skincare, haircare, and clothing are. But it feels kind of impossible to escape them, right? I didn’t really know much about natural dye until I stopped into The Way We Live in Malibu. They create natural dye from found objects and nature. I couldn’t help but obsess over their fabric samples which remind me of Maison de Vacances. You can buy fabric for custom furniture, or even yarn for your own art projects. What really got me is that you can bring personal items—like a flower bouquet from your first date, or something from someone you lost—and she’ll use them to dye the fabric. It's a whole emotional experience, in the best way.

The Pepperdine Cross Hike: A lot of our trails are still closed after the recent devastation to the land, but I realized not many people know about the Pepperdine hike? Maybe you do—in which case, keep scrolling—but if you don’t, it’s open. Fair warning: it’s not the easiest hike and you’ll see signs of fire damage along the way. Okay, it’s actually really difficult. All uphill on the way up with relentless sun and increased altitude levels. But if you’re willing, the uninterrupted panoramic views of Malibu are beyond worth it.
