Everyone is at Gjusta on a Sunday
There are only a few things I actually look forward to on a Sunday. Usually, I’m just trying to stretch the day as thin as possible — to soak up every last bit of the weekend and dodge the Sunday Scaries. There are few things I look forward to on a Sunday. I'm usually trying to stretch my day as thin as possible to feel like I get the full extent of the weekend, and avoid the Sunday scaries. On the best Sundays, if I'm not regretting the cocktails I had the night before, I'll be at Gjusta. With the rest of the city, apparently.

On the best Sundays, if I’m not regretting last night’s cocktails, you’ll find me at Gjusta. Along with, apparently, the rest of Los Angeles. The line feels like three hours. Pro tip: grab a ticket the second you walk in. There’s no physical line — they run it like a deli. First-timers never know this, and after waiting an hour, they get sent to grab a ticket and end up arguing with the staff.
The food? Fresh, healthy, and exactly what your Sunday brunch cravings need. Outside, there are puppies and babies everywhere. My ideal Gjusta Sunday is grabbing a table, pulling out a deck of cards, and spending the afternoon with friends.
